We only needed 75 but I want to ensure that we have all the signatures we need by the August 20 deadline. The maximum number we can gather is 225. As of today, I have 160 signatures--and that's not counting the petitions that are still being circulated by supporters.

I had a ball at the Roxbury Block party on July 4th with my family, neighbors, and friends. I don't live on Roxbury but nearby. They really threw a party! I felt such a sense of community. It was great.
Later, when my kids and their friends left to go downtown to see the fireworks in the Flats, the party was still going on.--that was after 9:30 at night and I'd originally arrived at 2pm.
Anyway, I wanted to quickly report that, thanks to the folks on Roxbury and other East Cleveland neighbors, and thanks to those people who've volunteered to help me gather signatures, I now have over 140 signatures. I'm going to keep gathering them, however. Want to make sure nothing gets in the way of me being on the ballot in November.

Thanks for gathering petition signatures, Belinda Kyle, Camille Mathes, Vannessa Dawson--dynamic members of the Perry for Schoolboard Campaign Committe.
In addition to you three, I'm sending this message to others who expressed interest in supporting East Cleveland and/or my campaign or who live or work in East Cleveland. I want to let you know about an opportunity to support.
I need a minimum of 75 petition signatures to run for school board. I intend to gather the maximum--225. The deadline: August 20. So far, I have a little under 80 signatures thanks to the Campaign Committee's help.
Over the next days and weeks, I'm introducing myself to neighbors, gathering signatures, and distributing flyers.
If you or people you know want to help, please tell me; I'll give you or the people you refer me to a signature sheet and flyers. If you can help in other ways, please tell me.
Each signature gatherer is responsible for her/his entire sheet of 20 names--no one else can gather signatures on that sheet. Also, a signature gatherer can't sign her/his own sheet.

Dear Community Leaders,
NOAH needs volunteers to help doorknock over the next few weeks. Doorknocking will take place Monday through thursday for the next two months.
